Voting Period Added for SCERS Board Election
Sacramento County Employees’ Retirement System (SCERS) has been notified that approximately 1,300 eligible Miscellaneous Members did not receive a ballot for the current Member Election to elect One Miscellaneous Representative to the Board of Retirement for a term beginning January 1, 2025, and ending December 31, 2027.
SCERS Board Election Ballots to be Mailed Sept. 10
Ballots for the election of one Miscellaneous, one Safety, and one Alternate Safety seat on the SCERS Board will be mailed on Sept. 10 for the voting period of Sept. 16–Sept. 27.
Nominations for Board Seats to Open Soon
Elections will soon take place to fill three Retirement Board seats, with current member terms expiring at the end of this year.

Candidate to be Appointed
The last day to file a Declaration of Candidacy for SCERS’ Alternate Safety Representative election was January 15, 2021. For this election, only one candidate, Jack T. Philp, successfully filed for the vacant position of Alternate Safety Representative. Jack Philp ran unopposed and will be appointed in lieu of an election. The term of office for this position shall commence on March 9, 2021 and continue through December 31, 2021.
