Investment Year in Review and Annual Plan
Once a year, SCERS takes a step back and looks at the big picture. The Investment Year in Review summarizes investment activity from the current calendar year. It highlights what went well, what challenges were faced, and how the system’s long-term strategies held up against changing markets.
Alongside this review, SCERS publishes the Annual Investment Plan, which shifts the focus forward. This plan lays out the investment priorities for the coming year, including any anticipated changes in asset allocation, risk management approaches, or new opportunities SCERS is exploring.
Together, these two documents serve as a bridge between the past and the future: one shows how the fund performed, while the other shows where the Board and staff are taking it next. Members who want to understand the “why” behind investment decisions will find these reports especially valuable.
