SCERS welcomes the appointment of former Regional Parks director Ronald Suter to the SCERS Board, on which he previously served as an elected trustee from 1994 to 2006.

Mr. Suter currently serves on the Sacramento County Civil Service Commission and has served on numerous other local boards and commissions, including the Executive Committee for Eppie’s Great Race, the California Park and Recreation Society, and the American River Parkway Foundation, in addition to being a member of Rotary Club International and a multiple Paul Harris Fellow.

Hailing from Crescent City, California, Mr. Suter earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Recreation Administration from California State University (CSU) Chico, and a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration from CSU Sacramento. Mr. Suter worked for Sacramento County for 25 years, serving the last nine as the director of Regional Parks before retiring in 2006.
