Chad Rinde, CPA, is the Director of the Department of Finance and the Ex Officio Member of SCERS’ Board since June 2023.

Chad has worked for Yolo County since 2015, having joined Yolo County as an Accounting Manager and progressed to the role of Chief Financial Officer in 2019. Chad also served as the interim Yolo County Administrator in 2021-22 for approximately nine months before subsequently returning to the role of Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Yolo County, Chad worked as an Auditor for regional accounting firms Vavrinek, Trine, Day & Company, and Macias Gini & O’Connell LLP, performing governmental audits.

Chad is a Certified Public Accountant and earned his degree from California State University, Sacramento, in Accounting, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He has been selected for several Yolo County Leadership Awards for his teamwork and responsibility and is a Mentor at the Sacramento Valley Leadership Academy.   In addition, Chad also holds various leadership positions that are affiliated with his community and profession.
